Our Story
We believe play is serious work.
Not the quiet, contained, everything-in-its-place kind. The loud, sprawling, Lego-everywhere, what-happened-to-this-room kind. The kind that looks like chaos from the outside but is actually a child doing the most important work of their life.
At Lemonade Circus, we're here for all of it.
How we started
I'm Rashmi, a mum of two, based in Bangalore, and the founder of Lemonade Circus.
I started this brand in 2025 because I kept running into the same problem. I wanted to give my children the freedom to play, really play, without limits or hovering, but I also couldn't find products that made that easy to live with. Everything I came across was either purely functional and dull, or beautiful but completely impractical. Nothing was both.
So I built Lemonade Circus to fill that gap. Products that support the way children actually play, look genuinely good in a family home, and don't add to the mental load of parents who are already carrying plenty.
What we believe
We believe that a child's home environment matters enormously. Children spend most of their growing years at home, and that environment should actively support their play, their curiosity, their need to spread out and make a mess and discover things.
We also believe you cannot, and should not, expect play to be tidy, controlled, or predictable. Childhood is meant to be wild. Full of wonder. Gloriously chaotic. The mess isn't a problem to be solved. It's evidence that something good is happening.
But we also know that you are a real person, living a real life, with a hundred things on your plate. And coming home to a floor that looks like a toy explosion, every single day, is exhausting.
Lemonade Circus products exist in that tension. Between giving your child the freedom they need and giving yourself just a little bit of relief. They're designed to support big, free play and make the aftermath manageable. Not because childhood should be sanitised. But because you deserve one less thing to worry about.
How we make what we make
Every decision in our supply chain, from how we source our materials to how our products are made, is made with intention. We work with ethical, environmentally responsible suppliers and manufacturers who share our values. Fair trade isn't a marketing term for us. It's a baseline.
Some of our smaller products are handmade by women from economically marginalised communities. Women with extraordinary skill and craft who deserve better opportunities and fairer income. As Lemonade Circus grows, creating more of those opportunities is something we're deeply committed to.
When you buy from us, you're not just buying a toy bin or a play mat. You're part of something that's trying to do business a little differently.
What you'll find here
Products designed for the reality of family life, not a Pinterest version of it. Cotton play mats that grow with your child from tummy time to cartwheels. Toy bins that handle Lego on Monday and damp swimwear on Tuesday. Play nests that contain the chaos without shutting it down. Buntings made from off-cuts because good fabric doesn't go to waste around here.
Everything is made to be used hard, washed easily, and loved for years.
Welcome to Lemonade Circus. We're glad you found us.
